3 Awesome Big Bang Theory Inspired Shirts

I’m a big fan of the Big Bang Theory, and I know I’m not alone in that.  It’s a quirky and hilarious show that is getting even better as the characters develop.  The cast is talented and energetic.  The characters are funny and peculiar.  The show is smart and reflects that the writers care about what their making.

3 Awesome Shirts Inspired by Big Bang Theory

The characters, especially Sheldon and Leonard, use T-shirts as their calling card.  From classic Green Lantern and Flash, to recycling logos and human evolution progressing to robots, their T-shirts are one of their trademarks.

Classic “Bazinga!” T-Shirt

This shirt uses the same colors as The Flash, which is one of the most worn shirts by Dr. Sheldon Cooper.  The use of these colors helps to associate the shirt with Sheldon, and the word “Bazinga!” is of course one of his catch-phrases.

Rock Paper Scissors Lizard Spock

The rules are simple:  “Scissors cuts paper; Paper covers rock; Rock crushes lizard; Lizard poisons Spock; Spock smashes scissors; Scissors decapitates lizard; Lizard eats paper; Paper disproves Spock; Spock vaporizes rock; and (as it always has) rock crushes scissors”

Of course, if you play it the same way as the Big Bang Theory crew, you won’t have to remember all of them:  nobody ever throws anything except Spock.

“The Wesley Crushers” Bowling Shirt

When Wil Wheaton first showed up on the Big Bang Theory, he was one of Sheldon’s personal heroes, but one fallen from grace:  He had greatly disappointed Sheldon, who had looked up to him as a kid.  Wil plays himself in the show, and started as a “villain,” one of Sheldon’s enemies who was always one step ahead of him.

When Sheldon, Leonard and the rest of the gang are going bowling against some of the guys from the comic shop, they come up with a great shirt design that is ironic and funny, to show that Wil Wheaton that they mean business.

It backfires when nobody can tell if their team shirt is going against Wil Wheaton or promoting him.  And when Wil sees the shirts, he proudly exclaims “Nice! They named their team after me!”
